Pre-K/Kindergarten

Updated for the 2021-22 Co-op Year!

Elementary students, Nursery through 6th grade, meet on Mondays from 8:50 am to 2:30 pm from late August through mid-May. Students enroll in the entire day of classes, as classes for the elementary program are not offered a la carte.

Each class day, PreK and Kindergarten students meet in classes of approximately  6-12 students (age groups detailed below):

Pre-Kindergarten:
The Pre-Kindergarten program is for 3-5 year-olds. Children in this class need to be potty trained prior to enrollment. In a special curriculum developed by For the Kingdom, students will be introduced to letters, numbers, colors, shapes, reading the calendar, watching the weather, Bible, and story time.  And of course – plenty of time for games and playing outside! The PreK class also makes time for a nap in the afternoon. These students will stay with one teacher during the school day.

Kindergarten:
The Kindergarten program is for 5-6 year-olds. While we do make some exceptions, students must be 5 years old by August 1st or have prior approval from the Elementary Coordinator.

In a special curriculum developed by For the Kingdom, students will enjoy Bible and story time, calendar studies, weather, phonics, and simple math as well as social studies and fun hands-on science! These students will stay with one teacher for these classes, but will join the 1st-3rd graders for one hour during Art/PE.
